About me
I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist based in Berkshire and I work in both private practice and the NHS. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2019 and I have worked in NHS mental health services for almost 15 years.

Everybody experiences psychological distress but sometimes this can get in the way of us living our lives. When this happens, talking therapy can help us to reflect on how we got to where we are and explore ways of moving forward. As a clinical psychologist I have experience helping people with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression and low mood, phobias, OCD, trauma, low self-esteem and grief.
Therapy provides an opportunity to reflect on your difficulties, to help make sense of them and figure out ways of making lasting positive change. As a clinical psychologist, I understand the importance of providing effective treatment to help you overcome psychological difficulties and restore a sense of wellbeing.

My approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative and draws on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I draw on these approaches and tailor therapy to suit you and your needs, addressing both the symptoms and underlying causes of psychological distress. During sessions I will create a safe space for you to reflect, build on your strengths and enhance skills for nurturing your own wellbeing. This will be done collaboratively, compassionately and at a pace you feel comfortable with.
What can clinical psychologists offer?
Clinical psychologists undergo extensive education and training in order to be able to practice. As a minimum this consists of an undergraduate degree, followed by a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Following qualification, they are required to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are bound by professional and ethical standards to which they must adhere to. Due to the nature of the doctoral training course, clinical psychologists have a range of experience supporting people from across the lifespan, experiencing a range of difficulties. Clinical psychologists often also undertake further specialist training to enhance their practice, such as in different therapeutic models or with particular client groups. They are trained to provide evidence-based psychological interventions following comprehensive assessment and formulation, with the overall objective being to reduce distress and enhance wellbeing. In addition, they are experienced in using a range of approaches and are able to integrate models in order to provide personalised treatment plans that best match the difficulties of each client.
